Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja for
Benin city, the Edo state capital today, for a two-day working visit. This is coming shortly after the valedictory session held
for the out-going Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole. It is perhaps the last time Mr Oshiomhole will be hosting
President Muhammadu Buhari in that capacity as Governor of Edo state.
Here are few things the president Muhammadu Buhari will be
doing in Edo state:
- The president is expected to visit the Oba of Benin
Omonoba N’edo Uku Akpolo-Kpolo Ewuare the second.
- President Buhari will commission several key
projects in the State, including the new 5-Star Central Hospital in Benin City.
- President Buhari will also commission the Upper Siluko Road
and the Samuel Ogbemudia College (formerly New Era College, Benin City).
- President Muhammadu Buhari will also inspect the reclaimed
Queen Ede Erosion site, in Benin City.
