Reflecting on a lot today and I realized how some Believers trivialize this Man upstairs and how we really don't know the greatness of the God we serve. It's quite sad because what people readily embrace in our society today is "RELIGION"- which is the menace of a lot of things today, and not "FAITH"-which is the only thing that pleases God.
Religion has rapidly creep into the church that even our dear Ministers no longer preach the very word to their congregation so as to make them excel and Christlike. Instead, majority of today's Ministers are after their stomachs. Little wonder why their word is without effect and power.
Gone are the days when you see a minister and you can literally feel the presence of God around him. Ministers no longer trust the God that has called them into work, some are so mentally lazy, they strictly run church without any other business, thus extorting from members with different seed faith offering and pledges all in the bid to ensure they have their needs meet.
Ministers today no longer want to adhere to Christ pattern; who most of the times feed the people that came to listen to him.
Frankly speaking, the rate at which some believers are going is the simple reason why satan can have a hold on them.They are neither hot or cold. They are never grateful, They complain for the things God hasn't done yet and forget little but, important things He does daily. For example;
- He forgave your sins (past, present and future).
- Heals your diseases.
- Redeems your Life from the pit.
- Crowns you with Love and Compassion.
- Who sacrifices your desires with good things.
- Renews your youth like the eagle.
- Provides daily for you.
- Protects you from daily accident
If we all truly take a statistic on our daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities on how we wake up daily, sleep peacefully daily, loved ones still alive...we would realize how much God has been Faithful and yet we have really not been so grateful.
In conclusion, I just want to encourage us on the need to daily thank God in whatever we do and wherever we find ourselves. If God opens our eyes to see the unseen battles he has fought for us and fighting, you will realize how amazing this man Upstairs has been to us.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for life, the gift of salvation, your precious blood which you shed on the cross of Calvary for me. Thank you sweet Jesus for Grace, Protection, Provision, Faith and most importantly for FAITH, I am Grateful to be called your child and the sweet ability to know you more for myself and have a working relationship with you, Amen!
